Tickled Pink...

...that Nancy from Every Photo Tells a Story has selected one of my paintings for today's image prompt.  Please stop by her inspirational site and read the lovely poems and words of thanks from others.  Nancy writes that "pink roses often symbolize gratitude."  I am grateful to have found Nancy's site.  I am grateful for each new day. I am very grateful to have discovered so many talented and generous artists in all media in the blog community to call friends. This rose is for you!

Almost out of limbo and back into a routine...and checking out the marvelous work you've done. You are truly gifted. Your rose featured on EPTAS was breath-taking, and really an inspiration for my little Mother's day poem. And thank you so much for your thoughtful comments while I was country hopping.

Hi Liz, Thank you for your comment on my daughters' paintings. I have some from when she was 2 years old and they are just as good.
I like your work. I especially like the way that you can make colors vibrate.
I have so much to learn and I hope to learn from your blog as well. I'll be looking in on you.
I am originally from Brooklyn in Baltimore so, it's nice to run into someone from my neck of the woods. Well, sort of.
Anyway...I'll keep in touch.

I absolutely love all the light and the delicacy that you emulated in the rose. You captured that glow that is so hard to do, especially in watercolors. Kudos!

I love your mother's day post and photos of your mom. My great grandmother had alzheimer's. I think she/we lived that way for 15 years. But, now, over 14 years after her passing, when I think of her, I rarely remember the details of the alzheimer years, but, I do remember how she smelled, how it felt to sit in her lap, her singing, her praying, her voice, her long and sharp fingernails, her soft clothes.
I was touched by your mother's day post, but, now I am blown away by your paintings!!! I can't wait to see more.
